DAMA-MN Newsletter — March 2026

Updates from the DAMA Minnesota Chapter community.

Welcome to the March DAMA-MN Newsletter

Spring is just around the corner and the DAMA-MN community is gearing up for an exciting season of events and engagement. One of the initiatives we are particularly excited about is our upcoming Data Management Career Fair for Students this April. This event is designed to connect university students with practicing data management professionals and organizations across Minnesota. Our goal is to help students better understand the many career paths within data management and create opportunities for mentorship, internships, and employment within our growing professional community.

March also brings another outstanding DAMA-MN Member Share presentation. These sessions highlight the real-world experience of local practitioners who are tackling complex data challenges inside their organizations.

March Chapter Meeting

Andy Nash – Target
Data Quality Maturity: A Retrospective of Target’s Product Data Journey

In this member share session, Andy Nash will discuss the importance and challenges of building a mature data quality program at scale. Drawing from Target’s experience managing product data across complex supply chains and systems, Andy will share lessons learned, practical insights, and reflections on the journey toward greater data quality maturity.

These practitioner-led sessions are a hallmark of DAMA-MN programming and offer our community an opportunity to learn directly from peers navigating the realities of enterprise data management.

Coming in April

We are also pleased to announce our upcoming April chapter meeting featuring internationally recognized data management expert Dr. Tom Redman — “The Data Doc.”

Dr. Redman will discuss ideas from his influential book People and Data: Uniting to Transform Your Business, which emphasizes the human and organizational elements necessary for successful data initiatives.
