Share what you know. Help others grow.
DAMA-MN chapter meetings, professional development programs, panels, workshops, and DAMA Days events depend on people who are willing to share their experience with the data community.
We welcome speakers with years of experience who can bring depth, perspective, and practical examples to topics such as data governance, data quality, metadata, master data, data architecture, analytics, AI readiness, data ethics, stewardship, data security, data literacy, and the many disciplines represented in the DAMA-DMBOK®.
We are also interested in hearing from people who recently published a book, launched a data program, completed a meaningful initiative, developed a new framework, learned something the hard way, or have an exciting topic they believe would benefit the DAMA-MN community.

First-time speakers welcome
You do not need to be a polished professional speaker to have something valuable to share.
Some of the most useful chapter sessions come from practitioners who are close to the work: people building a data governance process, improving data quality, implementing metadata practices, supporting analytics, preparing for AI, facilitating stewardship, or learning how data management really works inside an organization.
If you have never presented to an audience before but have something to share, DAMA-MN encourages you to submit your idea. We can help you shape the topic, organize your story, rehearse your presentation, and build confidence before you present to your peers and colleagues.
Speaking can be a powerful professional development experience. DAMA-MN is committed to supporting members and guests who want to grow into that opportunity.

How to submit your idea
Complete the DAMA-MN Speaker Interest Form and tell us a little about yourself, your topic, and the type of opportunity you are interested in. You do not need to have a finished presentation before submitting an idea.
1. Submit your interest
Share your topic, background, preferred format, and whether you are interested in a chapter meeting, panel, Birds of a Feather session, or DAMA Days 2026.
2. We review the fit
Our programming team reviews speaker submissions for relevance, timing, audience fit, and alignment with DAMA-MN programming needs.
3. We help shape the session
For selected topics, we work with speakers to clarify the format, audience, title, description, timing, and support needed.
Your experience may be exactly what someone else needs to hear.
DAMA-MN is built on professional generosity: people sharing what they have learned so others can grow. If you have a story, a topic, a question, a framework, or a hard-earned lesson that can help the data community, we would like to hear from you.
