Abstract  

In the last couple of decades the tech industry has made great strides in facilitating data storage, processing, and analysis.  However, leveraging these advancements to better create value from data is still an elusive goal for many organizations.  Hear how we've reached where we are today with respect to big data & advanced analytics, steps to overcome data challenges that companies continue to face, and some things you can do to keep up to date and participate in technology innovation within your organization.  Topics covered in this talk center around big data, artificial intelligence, technology innovation, and data management.


       

Biography


Cort joined Land O’Lakes, Inc. as a Software Engineer in May 2012.  Since then, he has held various roles in enterprise application integration, data architecture, and technology innovation.  His projects have spanned API Management, business process automation, data analytics in the animal feed domain, DevOps, e-commerce, and more.  Cort holds his M.S. in Software Engineering from the University of St. Thomas and has served as an adjunct faculty member since Spring 2019.

Outside of the office, his other technical interests include building desktop computers and researching the latest developments in computer hardware, security, and networking.
