Do No Harm, Operationalizing Responsible AI Applying What You Already Know 

Artificial intelligence is not new, but its widespread adoption has created new opportunities and new governance challenges. The good news is that data professionals already possess many of the skills needed to help organizations implement AI responsibly. They simply need to recognize how those skills translate into an AI-driven world. 

In this practical, jargon-free session, Dr. April C. Williams demonstrates how familiar governance concepts, including data quality, stewardship, accountability, transparency, risk management, and privacy, provide the foundation for Responsible AI. Using relatable business examples rather than technical explanations, she connects established governance practices to today's AI challenges.

Drawing from her books Dr. Williams introduces the Do No Harm model and The Ethical Yardstick, practical frameworks that help organizations evaluate AI initiatives before unintended consequences occur. Attendees will leave with greater confidence, practical tools, and a new perspective on how the work they already do can immediately contribute to trustworthy AI.
